RIVERFEST

•Rally on the Cumberland, 8 a.m. Saturday. Participants will begin at the Montgomery County Conservation Club, 1182 7-Mile Ferry Road, Clarksville, and finish at the McGregor Park boat ramp, 640 N. Riverside Drive, Clarksville. This six-mile canoe race will be paddled in heats and include the following divisions: youth division singles and doubles, beginner singles and doubles, intermediate singles and doubles and advanced singles and doubles. Entry fee is $10 per paddler ages 13-17 and $20 per adult. All participants must bring their own boat.

•Riverfest Cardboard Boat Regatta, 1-3 p.m. Saturday at McGregor Park Riverwalk, 640 N. Riverside Drive, Clarksville. Participants will build cardboard boats and race them on the Cumberland River. Boats with the fastest times and that do not sink will be declared winners.

SUMMER SALUTE

Trot for the Troops 10K/5K Road Race and 1-Mile Fun Run Sept. 15 hosted by the Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA. The road races are open to all participants, are on a certified course with electronic tag timing, and are competitive. The fun run begins at 8 a.m. and the road races begin at 8:30 a.m. at 7805 Eagle Way, Hopkinsville. Cost for the event is $12-$35, and registration is required.
