A private first class was convicted at a court-martial of one specification of conspiracy, two specifications of absence without leave, two specifications of willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, one specification of flight from apprehension, one specification of wrongful use of a controlled substance, one specification of larceny, two specifications of assault consummated by a battery, one specification of assault, and one specification of escape from confinement. He was sentenced to 14 months confinement, a bad conduct discharge, and reduction in rank to E-1.

IPAWS TEST
The Fort Campbell Emergency Operations Center will test the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System - Wireless Emergency Alert Tuesday depending on weather. The test message will say “This is a test from the Fort Campbell Emergency Operations Center. This is only a test.” The WEA is a one-way message from IPAWS and is similar to a text message. The messages are free – no charges for air time, message fees, etc. – and not a service someone needs to sign up for. A mobile device must be WEA enabled to receive the Emergency Alert Messages; some older smart phones and flip phones are not WEA enabled and will not receive the alerts. Messages will often refer individuals to the Fort Campbell Facebook page, www.facebook.com/FortCampbell, for more details and updates.
