SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM REGISTRATION

DOG PARKS

Fort Campbell Morale, Welfare and Recreation maintains the South Dog Park on Bastogne Avenue and the North Dog Park on Morgan Road. The parks are open dusk to dawn every day. WASTE TIRE COLLECTION

Christian County, in partnership with the Kentucky Division of Waste Management, is sponsoring a waste tire collection event 8 a.m.-2 p.m. April 19 and 20, and 8 a.m.-noon April 21 at the Kentucky Department of Highways Garage, 200 Lovella Lane, Hopkinsville. Tires will not be accepted from retailers, scrap dealers, recycle businesses or salvage yards. Tires on and off the rim, farm implement tires and tires from bicycles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, tractors, trucks and passenger vehicles will be accepted. Individuals with more than 50 tires must call to schedule drop off and be prepared to assist with unloading and separating. ATHOC REGISTRATION

Fort Campbell Emergency Operations Center’s AtHoc system delivers notifications via email, text, phone calls and social media about severe weather and other emergencies. EOC officials strongly encourage people to register for AtHoc to be alerted of emergency situations. In the Fort Campbell portal, located on the installations’ Intranet home page, users who have not yet registered with the AtHoc system will see a pop-up notification. Once the user clicks on the notification, a series of slides will be made available to walk the user through the registration process, ensuring that setup is quick, easy and accurate. While registration requires a CAC, Family members may also be added to the system by the CAC holder. Registration for the mass-notification system is a pertinent step in ensuring the safety of the entire installation.

FITNESS COMPETITION

Fort Campbell Child and Youth Services Middle School and Teen program is participating in the Boys and Girls Clubs of America National Fitness Competition 2-5 p.m. April 21 at Taylor Youth Center, 82 Texas Ave. Youth ages 6-18 can sign up through Friday to compete in the sack race, obstacle course, three-legged race and shuttle run. The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command warns that scammers are claiming online to be U.S. Soldiers. Fort Campbell Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program offers a Relationship 101 Workshop 9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at ACS, 2601 Indiana Ave. The workshop equips participants with relationship skills that include techniques and resources for emotional self-regulation. Even the strongest relationships have disagreements, but when emotions get high, effective communication stops and the ability to resolve conflict decreases. MONTHLY STEEL SHOOTING MATCH

Monthly steel shooting match is the first Saturday of each month at Range 16. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a safety briefing at 9 a.m. The events are open to ages 13 and older. All youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Handgun, holster and additional magazines are required. Centerfire pistol calibers only. No rimfire. GOLF CART CROSSING SAFETY

Fort Campbell Golf Cart Crossings are located along Robert C. Lee Road. The warning signs, flashing lights and painted crossing, constitute official Fort Campbell traffic signals. Vehicles traveling on the road, must stop and allow the carts (and walking golfers) to cross safely. Walkers and golf cart drivers should always push the button for the flashing lights and then watch to make sure vehicles are slowing or stopping.
