Entry point exercise
The Directorate of Emergency Services will conduct an exercise 10-11 p.m. Sunday involving all Fort Campbell Access Control Points. All gates will be closed for entry and exit 10-10:30 p.m., and on-post vehicle traffic will be restricted until 11 p.m. Community members should avoid the post’s entry points during this period. The safety and well-being of the Fort Campbell community remains a priority for DES. For emergencies during this time, call 911.
IPAWS TEST MESSAGE
Weather permitting, the Fort Campbell Installation Emergency Operations Center will run a Wireless Emergency Alerts test on the integrated Public Alerting and Warning System 1 p.m. Tuesday. The WEA will be similar to a one-way text message on mobile devices. Not all mobile devices are WEA-enabled.

ABANDONED VEHICLES AND MWR OPEN BID AUCTION
Morale, Welfare and Recreation will hold an open bid auction for abandoned vehicles and MWR equipment at 9 a.m. March 17. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Deadline to pick up purchases is 3 p.m. the day of the auction. The MWR equipment that will be auctioned has been deemed in excess, to be unusable, or no longer cost effective to maintain. This equipment will be sold in “as is” condition and there is no warranty or guarantee. Everyone must have cash or a credit card and be at least 18 years of age to receive a paddle for bidding and to place a bid on vehicles. Those who make the higest bid must be prepared to pay at least 50 percent of the winning bid on the day of the auction. Items requiring titling can be picked up 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 21-23 and March 26-30, after outstanding balance is paid in full. For items that do not require titling, the purchaser must be prepared to pay in full on the day of the auction and items can be picked up on the day of the auction. No one younger than 12 is permitted to attend. MWR reserves the right to withdraw any equipment prior to or during the auction. Any reneged items will be placed in the next auction. ATHOC REGISTRATION
Fort Campbell Emergency Operations Center’s AtHoc system delivers notifications via email, text, phone calls and social media about severe weather and other emergencies. EOC officials strongly encourage people to register for AtHoc to be alerted of emergency situations. In the Fort Campbell portal, located on the installations’ Intranet home page, users who have not yet registered with the AtHoc system will see a pop-up notification. Once the user clicks on the notification, a series of slides will be made available to walk the user through the registration process, ensuring that setup is quick, easy and accurate. While registration requires a CAC, Family members may also be added to the system by the CAC holder. Registration for the mass-notification system is a pertinent step in ensuring the safety of the entire installation.
SOCIAL MEDIA IMPERSONATION
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command warns that scammers are claiming online to be U.S. Soldiers. Unbeknown to the Soldier, an online scammer uses the Soldier’s name and available social media photos to perpetrate a crime. Online scammers also are impersonating Army civilians and contractors. Scammer capitalize on the trustworthy reputation of individuals associated with the Army. By monitoring your social media identity, you can protect your Army Family and your reputation. Even the strongest relationships have disagreements, but when emotions get high, effective communication stops and the ability to resolve conflict decreases. MONTHLY STEEL SHOOTING MATCH
Monthly steel shooting match is the first Saturday of each month at Range 16. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a safety briefing at 9 a.m. The events are open to ages 13 and older. GOLF CART CROSSING SAFETY
Fort Campbell Golf Cart Crossings are located along Robert C. Lee Road. The warning signs, flashing lights and painted crossing, constitute official Fort Campbell traffic signals. Vehicles traveling on the road, must stop and allow the carts (and walking golfers) to cross safely. Walkers and golf cart drivers should always push the button for the flashing lights and then watch to make sure vehicles are slowing or stopping.
