A private first class was recently convicted at a general court-martial of burglary with the intent to commit assault and assault consummated by battery. He was sentenced to four months of confinement, reduction to E-1 and to be discharged with a bad-conduct discharge.

LIFEGUARD CLASSES
The American Red Cross will offer lifeguard training 8 a.m.-4 p.m. June 4 and 11 at William J. Dolan Pool, 1566 William C. Lee Road. Participants must be able to swim 300 yards without stopping, tread water for two minutes without hands or arms, brick test in 1:40 minutes or less. The class is $120 per participant. Blanchfield Army Community Hospital will host a Baby Expo 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 25 at Fort Campbell’s Family Resource Center, 1501 William C. Lee Road. AUDITIONS

ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY ELIGIBILITY SURVEY
The Army has been asked by Congress to consider what might be done to preserve Arlington National Cemetery as an active military cemetery well into the future for generations to come. Based on current eligibility standards, Arlington National Cemetery will run out of space in approximately 23 years and at that time will no longer be an active cemetery. Decision-makers seek feedback from stakeholders through a survey where they can share their opinions about eligibility for burial in Arlington National Cemetery.
