Life changes before us; sometimes because of our decisions, other times not.
Either way, life rarely goes as planned and changes, concessions and contingencies must be made.
It is in these times of change and challenge that we are truly defined. How we deal with adversity and change is dependent on how we look at life; how we choose to deal with what lies before us and who we put our trust in.
Life in the Army is both exciting and challenging.
The Army takes you to places – physically, mentally and spiritually – you may have never gone to on your own.
As we continue to support operations here at Fort Campbell and around the world, challenges will rise up to meet us – whether we like it or not.
It is how we face these challenges of life that will define who we are and what we believe.
Sometimes the ability to remain steadfast and strong during challenging times may seem too much, just too overwhelming. Let me encourage you that you do not have to face these challenges alone.
Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 5:10 that God promises to remain by our side, especially in the toughest times: “And the God of all grace ... will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
Take heart knowing that God loves you and desires to hold you close and keep you strong as you face the challenges of life – it is your choice, you can look down or you can look up.
