MOAA MEETING

Military Officers Association of America will have their next meeting at 11 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive, Clarksville. The speaker will be retired Air Force Capt. Bill Robinson, the longest-held enlisted prisoner of war in American history. There will be a buffet-style meal. Reservation is required by noon Monday. FORT CAMPBELL ACS ARMY 101

Fort Campbell Army Community Service Army Family Team Building hosts Army 101 to provide Family members new to the Army basics of Army knowledge at Army Community Service, 2601 Indiana Ave. The next classes are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and registration is required. ACS ARMY FAMILY TEAM BUILDING

Army Community Service will host Army Family Team Building Advanced Individual Training from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sept. 18-19 at the Staff Sgt. Clifford C. Sims ACS building, 2601 Indiana Ave. The first day will cover classes about self-development and include exploring personality traits, time management, problem solving, dealing with crisis and grief and hunt the good stuff. Day two will cover leadership skills to include heading toward leadership, communication for leaders, conflict management and team dynamics. Child care is provided however, children must be registered with Child and Youth Services.

ANNUAL CASE LOT SALE

The Exchange, 2840 Bastogne Ave., is hosting its annual case lot sale 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sept. 28-30. The sale will have special one time a year prices on beer, spirits and wine. CHALLENGE WALK

During the month of October, Fort Campbell demonstrates its commitment to end intimate partner abuse in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month by conducting the Army Community Service, Family Advocacy Program Second Annual Challenge Walk 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 14 at Shaw Physical Fitness Center, 7979 California Road. Individuals and organizations, service members and civilians challenge each other to walk a number of hours to help put an end to intimate partner abuse and family violence within the Fort Campbell community.

This event offers information booths, proclamation reading, human purple-ribbon photography event, yoga, Zumba, spin session, and recognition for individuals and organization who dedicate the most hours.

PURPLE POST, PURPLE SHIRTS

In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Fort Campbell Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program is asking Fort Campbell Families and civilians to wear a purple shirt Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27. ACS FAP also encourages Fort Campbell Families and civilians to decorate their buildings, offices, quarters and grounds with purple for the month of October. No registration is required. Each Friday, victim advocates will randomly visit facilities and take pictures of individuals wearing purple shirts to post on the Fort Campbell ACS Facebook page. The organization with the most participation will be recognized. During October, victim advocates will visit of purple-decorated facilities and neighborhoods, take pictures and post them on the Fort Campbell ACS Facebook page. RELATIONSHIP WORKSHOP

Fort Campbell Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program offers a Relationship 101 Workshop 9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at ACS, 2601 Indiana Ave. The workshop equips participants with relationship skills that include techniques and resources for emotional self-regulation. Even the strongest relationships have disagreements, but when emotions get high, effective communication stops and the ability to resolve conflict decreases. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Fort Campbell Child and Youth Services Youth Sports needs volunteer coaches for children in pre-K through eighth grade. All volunteers receive free training and will be certified through the National Alliance of Youth Sports. All volunteers must complete a background check. GOLF CART CROSSING SAFETY

Fort Campbell Golf Cart Crossings are located along Robert C. Lee Road. The warning signs, flashing lights and painted crossing, constitute official Fort Campbell traffic signals. Vehicles traveling on the road, must stop and allow the carts (and walking golfers) to cross safely. Walkers and golf cart drivers should always push the button for the flashing lights and then watch to make sure vehicles are slowing or stopping.  Golf Cart Crossing Safety is the responsibility of everyone using Cole Park Golf Course and Robert C. ADAPT PROGRAM

    After Deployment, Adaptive parenting tools (ADAPT) is a research-based parenting program developed to assist previously deployed military Families with school-aged children.  Participants can earn up to $520 in gift cards by completing activities. JOINT SERVICES TRAVEL PROGRAM WEBSITE

Joint Services Travel Program has implemented a booking website designed for military and Department of Defense patrons. The site can be accessed at any time to book flights, car rentals, hotel stays and cruises. FEDS FEED FAMILIES

Fort Campbell will host its annual Feds Feed Families food drive through Sept. 30 with drop off boxes located at the main ACS building, Family Resource Center, Directorate of Family and MWR, Directorate of Public Works, the main housing office, the Child Development Centers, Robert F. Sink Memorial Library, the Education Center, the Safety Office, the Public Affairs Office, and other agencies. Feds Feed Families helps food banks and pantries stay stocked during summer months when they traditionally see a decrease in donations. ARMY OFFICER CANDIDATE SCHOOL REUNION

The U.S. Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association 2018 Reunion will be held March 25-29, 2018, in Columbus, Georgia. The OCS Alumni Association represents all Army officers commissioned through any Officer Candidate School, regardless of previous locations or branch affiliation. This reunion will include a Hall of Fame induction ceremony, reception and formal dinner that will include the presentation of the Patterson Award. There will also be demonstrations and briefings at Fort Benning highlighting developments related to the OCS program and the opportunity to interact with current OCS candidates. MONTHLY STEEL SHOOTING MATCH

There will be a steel shooting match the first Saturday of each month at Range 16. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and a safety briefing at 9 a.m. The events are open to ages 13 and older. All youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Handgun, holster and additional magazines are required. Centerfire pistol calibers only. No rimfire.
