COMMANDER’S POSTER COMPETITION
The 2017 Commander’s Inaugural Visual Graphic Arts Anniversary Poster Competition is now accepting submissions. The theme is “Legacy of Heroism” celebrating the 101st Airborne Division’s 75th Commemorative Anniversary. Submissions should represent values, history, legacy, military significance and the overall mission. Participants must present an image consistent with Army values, 101st Airborne Division’s theme and mission, including “I am a Screaming Eagle.” Participants must include contact information with submissions, including email, name and telephone number. The competition ends July 25. Email submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Files must be 600 dpi, 25-by-36 inches, jpeg, gif or png. Prizes will be presented by the commanding general and include a CG coin and certificate of appreciation. The winning poster will be framed and displayed in division headquarters.
DENTAL ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM
The Dental Assisting program is accepting applications for the program through Friday. The program is for those who are wanting a career in dental health care. Students will develop skills including chair side procedures, radiology, practice management, patient education, infection control and lab work. It is a seven month program with a 1,000 credit hours. FEDS FEED FAMILIES
Fort Campbell will host its annual Feds Feed Families food drive July 1-Sept. 30 with drop off boxes located at the main ACS building, Family Resource Center, Directorate of Family and MWR, Directorate of Public Works, the main housing office, the Child Development Centers, Robert F. Sink Memorial Library, the Education Center, the Safety Office, the Public Affairs Office, and other agencies. Feds Feed Families helps food banks and pantries stay stocked during summer months when they traditionally see a decrease in donations. 2017 SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM
Fort Campbell Schools Food Services is having summer feeding program. The program is free for any child 18 and younger and will be at Barsanti and Andre Lucas elementary schools from 8-9 a.m. for breakfast and 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for lunch. TENNESSSEE TITANS TICKETS
Fort Campbell Leisure Travel Services will begin selling the dates for the 2017 Tennessee Titans tickets. Season tickets are $825 per seat and will be sold first with any tickets that are left from the season pass sale, being sold as individual game tickets. Aug 3 at 10 a.m. The season pass sale will be one day only at Leisure Travel Services. First come first served. No preregistration is necessary for season pass purchases. Individual game tickets will have a limited availability and will be sold on a first come first served basis beginning at 9 a.m. Aug 5. No preregistration is necessary for individual ticket purchases. Individual games tickets for pre-season will be $80 per seat and $80-$90 during the regular season depending on the game. Fort Campbell Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program offers a Relationship 101 Workshop 9-11:30 a.m. or 1-3:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at ACS, 2601 Indiana Ave. The workshop equips participants with relationship skills that include techniques and resources for emotional self-regulation. Even the strongest relationships have disagreements, but when emotions get high, effective communication stops and the ability to resolve conflict decreases. Driver’s Education available for teens ages 15-17 hosted by SKIESUnlimited, 3411 Bastogne Ave. Monday-Thursday classes are offered Monday-June 22, July 3-6 and July 17-20. Saturday classes are June 3-24, July 1-22 and Aug. 5-26. All participants must be registered with Child and Youth Services prior to enrolling in class. COMIC BOOK EXCHANGE
Robert F. Sink Memorial Library is beginning a new program. Starting this month, patrons wil have the chance to exchange their comic books, graphic novels and manga with other patrons from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. every Thursday at The Robert F. GOLF CART CROSSING SAFETY
Fort Campbell Golf Cart Crossings are located along Robert C. Lee Road. The warning signs, flashing lights and painted crossing, constitute official Fort Campbell traffic signals. Vehicles traveling on the road, must stop and allow the carts (and walking golfers) to cross safely. Walkers and golf cart drivers should always push the button for the flashing lights and then watch to make sure vehicles are slowing or stopping.
